  • I dont think I needed therapy for what they thought I needed it for. Basically they just wanted to change my personality since I did not fit what they typically see in society. Though really my personality is more eccentric and not really psychotic in most aspects. Eccentric is being odd in ways that are not detrimental or dangerous. However they did not seem to like eccentric either.

I could wear a scarf around my neck since I like scarves and they would be like "Its the sign of a mental disorder". No, not necessarily. What is sad Therapists for the most part also dont understand the meaning of "Context". Like is he crying for a reason like "relative died" or is he just crying. So lets say a relative dies they will say its abnormal to be upset for a week and that the solution is drugging this child. You know now letting them grieve like a normal person would allow but not a fucked up therapist as they want to take away what makes us human.

Now yes there is some cases were lost of a relative tends to lead to death, I think there is a reasonable amount of time where we should just leave that person alone. Not right away say "MED THEM FOR BEING SAD!" since they dont need you forcing shit on them for grieving. However that is how most doctors are. Its very sad really.

For every patient they treat correctly there is 1000 they misdiagnose since they dont understand context. I did have a few issues as a child but shockingly none of those things were anything the doctors ever stopped to treat. Instead they treated everything I did not have from Schizophrenia to ADD/ADHD. Which if your a child and not allowed to exercise and forced to sit around in front of the TV all day of course you are going to be Anxious. Which eventually lead me to develop a ton of OCD tendency's which I still have many of. Though given my extremely obsessive nature is not that much of a surprise.
