Have you ever had a weird encounter that you never told anyone about?

When I was 12, I was walking my 2 dogs when some guy in a grey suv pulls up to the side of the street, rolls down the window and ask me “Hey little girl, I lost my Golden retreiver. Do you think you could come over here and help me find it?” I shouted no! And bolted down the street with my dogs. The car slowly creeped down the street still next to me but when we both got to the end, I turned left to go home and the car turned right.

99% sure I escaped a kidnapping, and I never told anyone especially my parents or the police.

Ever experience something that you never told anyone?

While that is obviously an awful and scary experience...it's not a freak accident.

In Romania, while driving home from Germany to Bulgaria, (lots of problems on Serbian roads, so I drove through Romania instead), I encountered some cops. I was being pulled over. Everything seemed legit. I slowed down and was ready to stop. The police car and the men's uniforms looked almost real, but I noticed it said "Police", instead of "Politia" on the cops uniforms. Pretty much every police department all over the world has uniforms that say police in their country's language. Those assholes were car thieves.

And the English "Police" gave it away. I flipped the robbers the bird and legged it. Not quite a freak accident, but a possible problem, but whatever...

Fake police/ robbers are a common site in Romania, I try to avoid it as much as possible, but on two occasions I have had to drive through Romania...

I think some dude tried to kidnap me when I was in the third grade. I was hanging outside a Barnes and Noble after karate practice. My mom hadn't picked me up yet and this dude who looked like he was in his late 20's started talking to me about chess for like 15 minutes. Then he said "Hey, are your parents inside?" I just lied and said "Yeah" But then he went in there and came back out and was like "Are you sure?" and I told him yes again. Then shortly after my mom picked me up.

At a train station when I was 14, I turned around the corner and almost ran into a black homeless guy peeing in the bushes. His dick was big and white, like the color of a caucasian person's dick.

    • Part of me wishes I had reported the guy to prevent similar occurances in the neighborhood from potentially happening, but sometimes you just want to forget things ever happened.

When I was 12 years old, my piano teacher, Mrs. Smith, said, "excuse me", left the piano for an minute and came back into the room completely naked asking me if I wanted to take a bath. I ran out of her house and was afraid to tell my parents. Within a few days, she talked to my mother saying I was being dropped because I was a poor student. My Mother made me pull down my pants and whipped my bare ass with a belt. The pain seemed like insanity. My mother did not tolerate anyone having a poor opinion of me because she felt I was a reflection of herself.

I wouldn't worry about it. That user is a lying scum bag. He simultaneously claims to be a widowed grandfather, and 18 years old. And that's just recently.

Both my parents were neurotically strict. I made society pay for the unfortunate luck I had being born to them. Paramilitary mischief using sniper evasion tactics was my agenda every weekend. After a couple of years, I decided society had paid its price for my terrible parents. I put society on parole. I have no animosity toward the cops. They tried to outsmart me, but could not counter my evasion tactics.

When I was 15 I was hanging out at this park and some mail truck drove up. The mail man looked like some scrawny retard and went into the restroom. I didn't think anything of it except when he came out I thought, "Damn he was in there a while". He comes over and sits at the table, rubbing himself through his pants and trying to carry on a conversation. he talked like a retard also.

Anyways he said, "Do you want to go do something in the restroom?" I was like, "No that is ok" and got up and left. My only thought was, "Well I might have to whoop some ass if he follows or grabs me".

Just fuckin weird. I mean if he is THAT messed up do be going to parks asking 15 year old kids that, while in uniform, how did he get a postal job to begin with?

I remember when I was thirteen there was a prisoner who escaped. He was in jail for killing an old couple. While on the run he raped the daughter of a police officer then dissapeared. Every one here was terrified especially the girls. My parents' house is in the woods so we were even more terrified and my father would make rounds at night with his torch. We had 4 dogs then and often when the dogs would bark at night we would joke that it was after the rapist.

Long story short, it turns out that he was hiding in an old house just 150m away from our house. And he confessed that often he would look at our house at night and that he knew all our dogs' names. Same with our neighbours. He even confessed that sometimes he would steal food from my neighbour's kitchen.

It's not really an encounter but the post reminded me of this.

Yeah. A few. But the one I will mention is similar me and a friend were gonna walk like 8 miles or so to go visit my sister (we were like 7 😂) and some creep was like you guys can come with me, and he chased us in a damn field. It was horrible but we never told anybody it happened because we didn’t want in trouble for ever attempting to walk that anyway

Something similar happened to me at that age walking my dog, Blackie, except the guy wasn't in a vehicle. He quickly popped out from the wooded area I was walking by saying all this "ay Mami" bullshit. He followed me for a while, Blackie was softly growling the whole time. She eventually got tired of him and knocked him down and barked in his face. I think she may have bit him. She seemed mad the entire walk home after that. Honestly at the time I wasn't strong enough to walk that dog on my own. I guess that was a good thing. XD

Yup. Weird and annoying encounters alike. We shouldn't feel ashamed to tell our situation especially if we aren't the weird ones...but it's embarassing because it's a personal encounter. Nevertheless, everything is a learning experience.

Yeah. I do not like to talk about that. I prefer the freak accidents where I almost pooped inky pants in public. It is Christmas, don't be weird.
