  • Well considering you still don't even understand what I'm actually saying, the fact that you disagree doesn't really mean much.

Of course sex affects the brain similarly. Everyone knows that. The difference is that sex is a stimulus that the body is designed to handle unlike drugs and shit.

    • Are you having as much fun as I am? =P

Of course I don't appear to understand... if you try to shift the terms of the argument, mid-argument.

But I'll humour you. If you read the articles, you'll see how they define sex addiction, and that they certainly treat it as dysfunctional, because of the dysfunction that it creates in people's lives, and the way they interact with other people. Whether or not the body is 'designed' to handle sex as opposed to, say, heroin, is a little beside the point. The damage an addiction causes isn't necessarily the physical effect on a person's body.

Why are you so desperate to win, anyway? What's hanging in the balance for you?

      • Naw this discussion is pretty useless. I agree with your entire last comment.

What hangs in the balance is how annoying it is when people identify sex addiction in other people! When usually their just jealous they ain't getting laid! It's more about all the false diagnoses than the technicality of what sex addiction is!

People have called me sex addicted or like I have too much sex as well. If that's true than I enjoy life better as a sex addict than not a sex addict. Having multiple casual partners doesn't make someone a sex addict! Neither does having a lot of sex or a high sex drive!
