At the risk of offending people I genuinely like, I'm pondering why you got voted down to -4 for talking about keeping animals safe.
My ex is a cat person and she suspects her neighbour poisoned her outdoor cat because he was leaving a mess in the neighbour's garden. She has another cat now and has made the choice to keep her as an indoor cat, partially against her wishes because she doesn't like restricting freedom. But she's opted for safety over freedom. I wonder if that's a metaphor for the world we humans live in.
Have you ever got a pet and got rid of it immediately?
