So you rather see the cats live outside, never having a warm home, food, interacting with people? Die because of the cold weather in the winter? Or maybe hunger?
I think all of the cats I ever had would have died by a car anyday than to have lived outside in the cold, having to fend for themselves and having nobody to take care of them.
So if I ever have kids one day, I'll keep them at home. I won't let them go outside because someone in a car might hit them.
The point is, if you're going to take the cat, then care for it properly and take responsibility. It IS your fault the cats get hit, because you said you don't keep them inside. Whatever your reasons are, doesn't matter. If it's your cat, keep it safe however you have to. Owning a cat means keeping it safe, and letting it out where it can, or~rather~WILL, get hit is completely irresponsible. There's no excuse for it, although I'm sure you'll keep trying to justify it. Do you realize how ridiculous you sound? Would I rather see a cat die from being cold or hungry or die over at your place, full and warm but under the tires of a car....REALLY?? This is logic to you? How about, take the cat in, care for it properly and don't let it out, especially when you KNOW it's probably going to get hit or don't take it at all. That's like saying would you rather get shot right now or live a few more weeks and then get senselessly stabbed out of the blue while I'm supposed to protect you. Yeah, THAT makes sense.
When did I say I don't keep them inside? I said, I let them go outside. They are allowed to take fresh air and go do whatever it wants outside. Then come home to eat, sleep and whatever it wants to do inside.
Clearly, you are not reading what I am saying so
there is no point in aruging with you. Your logic makes no sense to me. Think what you want and I'll think what I want.
Have you ever got a pet and got rid of it immediately?
