Have you ever made up an elaborate story (lie) to break it off or get rid of an ex from your life?

If you have, how did you do it and what did you tell them?

    Break ups are hard enough already. Give them enough respect to be honest.

      You are a good person. Honesty IS about respect.

      It's going to hurt any way it's delivered. Just because it's honest doesn't meant it has to be insensitive either. It says a lot about a person's character in how they break up with someone they once loved.

    It's better to be honest. You don't start a relationship based on lies and you certainly shouldn't end one with a lie.

    Mmmmm I've always been somehow frank. I remember calling a man I was dating and he told me he was coming to see me. When he arrived I announced him that our story was ending here because I have found a better boyfriend :)

          lie vs. violent words

          Both are cruel.
          Perhaps you could have found a way to tell the truth without using 'unnecessary' violent words.
          Next time, maybe.
