It's not as simple as not being with someone in the first place, sadly. You can enter into a relationship thinking it's a good relationship, but once your partner becomes abusive the rules have changed and I think cheating on an abusive partner is forgivable (not necessarily right, but forgivable). At least that's how I see it.
Yes I can see that as forgiveable too depending on the situation but at the same time they should break up with that person in the first place before thinking about having sex with another even if it was abusive. Thats what I don't understand is how can you stay in an abusive relationship when that person is hurting you; that's not love. :\
There are reasons I believe it's best to know the person as friends for a while before entering a relationship. It takes time to "actually" get to know someone. :)
I agree with Saycheese, If your not happy with the relationship then get out of it. The excuse, "it's easier said than done" is not a legitimate excuse. Just have the backbone to break up and move on.
