I was sleeping on the living room floor with my brother at my mom's bf's house. The bf's friend lied next to me while I was asleep and started fondling me. I woke up and said no, but he wasn't going to stop. I didn't want to wake my brother and traumatize him, he'd already been through a lot. I told the guy to go to the bathroom with me, where I faked a seizure soon after he started in hopes that he would get freaked out. It worked and he stopped.
If the guy doesn't realize he's pushing it into assault territory, how is this supposed to stop? I think that's a big issue with rape and sexual assault...a LOT of the perpetrators literally have no clue they are assaulting or raping someone! And a ton of victims don't see themselves as victims for the same reasons. I totally understand your reluctance to speak up though. It's a real problem.
Have you ever been coerced into having sex?
