I had two opportunities to cheat on my ex with someone that I have wanted to be with since I was an 18 year old girl. Both times I had this guy there, available to me and I turned him away, unable to go through with it due to the love and "loyalty" to my partner. That very partner just walked out of my life last year, after living together for 5 years and said he sees his life going in a different direction. That person from my past is now very serious about his current partner and I missed my opportunity to fulfill something I've always wanted. I don't condone cheating, not at all. It's toxic, but the desire is most certainly human. I do have to admit though, that as soon as my partner broke my heart, I thought to myself..."I regret that I didn't sleep with ... while I had either of those chances" -- knowing what I know now about how this relationship of mine ended up. Just saying...
