I tend to believe the website is right. Books usually deceive you, especially on this topic. You might think sex was a taboo back then because that's how "respectable" sources present our past. Well, try some books on the topic, like https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_120_Days_of_Sodom
You'll find the truth about sexuality at 1900. Also you might think the Roman or the Greek empires were also considering sex only in restricted and controlled ways. Watch the series Spartacus to see the orgies they had on the streets, how they behaved and what sexuality was back then. Those things like promiscuity or homosexuality or exposure to sex are not recent. They have been practiced since forever. Animals do it, we do it, that's it.
Sex is a natural animalistic urge that is obviously nothing new. But now that I think of it, some websites have charts to show that higher amounts of women got married and settled down 100 years ago, or even in the 1950s before the 1960s revolutions, so that even though wanting sex was obviously natural, I think that the average amount of different partners women had was less than today. Also, flappers of the 1920s were a shock to older generations at the time, because they were used to a society where women always saved sex until marriage, but compared to today, what flappers did was not that big a deal. Also, flappers were only one type of woman at the time, where today, all types of women from all walks of life are promiscuous and don't believe in marriage anymore. Even though women wanting sex was always the same, it was not exactly like today in all those senses I just described.
Have women changed in past 100 years?

Yeah I mentioned the Roman and Greek empire. But for 100 years ago you have the ideal book there.
