Have women changed in past 100 years?

Before you judge this a stupid question, let me explain that this is just a fun, lighthearted debate I'm having here, so let me explain what I mean. Some people say how women are way different now from how they were between 60-100 years ago, that back then they were more soft spoken and let men take control, they were more into marriage and less promiscuous, and they dressed less provocatively. But then I've read about the flapper girls of the 1920s where some sites about them claim that women then were just like today, assertive and promiscuous. But then I've always read how women didn't start becoming assertive and promiscuous until the revolution of the late 1960s, and how they were then changing so much from before. But then, what is this crap about the flapper girls of the 1920s? I personally think it's a crock of shit that they were just like women today, due to all the changing years later on so famously talked about. I think that in the 1920s, women were just being more assertive and promiscuous than they were before the 1920s and that alone shocked people, but they still weren't anywhere near today's levels. But again, several sites on flappers are saying the flappers were EXACTLY like women today. So, I'm confused, y'all state your opinions on what y'all know and check the box on what you think.

women have changed alot in past 100 years 23
women have changed a little in past 100 years 11
Women are exactly same as 100 years ago 5

I think that today's women and the women from the last century have plenty of things in common. The only difference now is that women are given a platform to speak and be listened to, instead of being shunned or ignored. Same thing, different era... with minor adjustments.

Modern woman the intake is too close to the exhaust.

    • That's true, women who talked the way they do today about wanting to sleep around were less respected once before, so many of them adjusted their behavior to be less promiscuous so society wouldn't shun them.

  • I just read the title and commenting on that. If that makes my comment retarded then apologies.

I think the answer is yes I think women, just like men, have adapted to the world with each and every change. So it's not so much that women have changed, it's just that men and women have adapted as the world changed and continues to.

Flapper girls sucked cock. It was sort of a birth control tactic. This trend was brought to America from France where soldiers got sucked off by French girlfriends during World War I. It has always been respectable to suck "Le Cock" in France. American girls were afraid and needed much encouragement from the returning veterans.

I have a medical book from 1879 that discusses the urge certain women have to suck cock before they even get laid and that parents should watch for the danger signals.

Women always had urges, but society forced them to suppress them outside of marriage, that's why there was less promiscuity 100 years ago, it's not that women didn't want to do it. Men and women, and animals have ALWAYS had sexual urges, it's what kept the human and animal races alive.

I must say I'm a real fan of an enthusiastic and sloppy smiling blowjob by a woman who knows what to do to please a man orally. If blowjobs were more commonly available I think there'd be much less violence in the world today.

I thought sucking cock was always a thing everywhere. There are even accounts of the Egyptians doing that shit

Yes. Cock sucking has always been popular. But Victorian sexual repression hit the U.S. particularly hard in the 1800s. Prudish Protestant doctrine and social judgements kept women's natural sexuality in straight jackets. World War I loosened the grip. Birth control pills in the 60s gave women their freedom at last.

almost every woman I've been with has been very comfortable sucking the male appendage. Some even initiate the operation. Most get better at it with practice. I think it's a natural thing that most just don't want to admit. Most guys won't admit to eating pussy , but not me.

Western women have changed a lot, although I wasn't here 100 years ago. So I can only go by the change of social standards I've seen from media, which my be biased and untruthful. Feminists hate gender, and try hard to destroy it. Feminists hate the natural order of life.

Well I don't think it's really that women have changed, but more that their environment and opportunities have changed, which led to them feeling more comfortable to be themselves.

Chances are they are still the same. A lot of these clichΓ©s come from our own bias.

        • Long story short, I guess I believe that women were the same in some ways and different in others way back in the day

          Comment Hidden ( show )
  • The only thing that really changed was the invention and mass release of the birth control pill in the 1960s. That gave women more freedom to have sex when they wanted not went their body dictated it was safer. Of course HIV and AIDS in the early 1980s meant condoms were back in vogue.
Otherwise sexual practices have been the same. There are even porn movies from shortly after the movie camera was invented, 30-35 years before the β€œflappers”.

You could get a whole house for a dollar, and whores would blow you just to get something warm into their stomachs.

  • I tend to believe the website is right. Books usually deceive you, especially on this topic. You might think sex was a taboo back then because that's how "respectable" sources present our past. Well, try some books on the topic, like https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_120_Days_of_Sodom
You'll find the truth about sexuality at 1900. Also you might think the Roman or the Greek empires were also considering sex only in restricted and controlled ways. Watch the series Spartacus to see the orgies they had on the streets, how they behaved and what sexuality was back then. Those things like promiscuity or homosexuality or exposure to sex are not recent. They have been practiced since forever. Animals do it, we do it, that's it.

    • Sex is a natural animalistic urge that is obviously nothing new. But now that I think of it, some websites have charts to show that higher amounts of women got married and settled down 100 years ago, or even in the 1950s before the 1960s revolutions, so that even though wanting sex was obviously natural, I think that the average amount of different partners women had was less than today. Also, flappers of the 1920s were a shock to older generations at the time, because they were used to a society where women always saved sex until marriage, but compared to today, what flappers did was not that big a deal. Also, flappers were only one type of woman at the time, where today, all types of women from all walks of life are promiscuous and don't believe in marriage anymore. Even though women wanting sex was always the same, it was not exactly like today in all those senses I just described.
