Have negative preg test when pregnant?

My aunt can take a pregnancy test and have it come up negative when she is CLEARLY pregnant, and after even seeing the baby on a sonogram... She has some kind of condition that causes it.. Does anyone know what that is?
I think I might have it as well..

Is It Normal?
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

  • In the last half of your pregnancy, you can have negative tests. You can be preg with twins, and have negative test results. The placenta is fully functional and your body isn't producing as much hormone as in the beginning - that's why women are generally much sicker at the start, but not so much at the end of pregnancy.

    • That would seem like the obvious answer...

  • There's a hormone that'll change for a bit and make it do that.

A girl told me that the other day and I didn't believe her until now.

  • Maybe it's just a wrong test. When you are not sure you are pregnent that the first dignostic test to it are blood test and type-B ultrasonic check

  • It's rare but it does happen. I know a woman who didn't get a positive until she was 7 months pregnant.
But yes, like others said, ask her we don't know.
