People see something that scares them, they automatically there gut reaction is that it's something supernatural, then they calm down and realize there is a perfectly rational explanation for what they experienced.
Then when it comes time to recalling the experience they wont the story to sound interesting so they try and make out it was something supernatural.
Sometimes there isn't a perfectly rational explanation - that's what leads a lot of people to fill in the absence of truth with pure speculation, usually of a supernatural variety. You make it sound like everybody is bullshitting because they're liars. I'd say the majority believe their own bullshit, if it is indeed bullshit.
Have any of you seen or experienced a ghost?
