Hate having jewelry touch me

I'm not sure where I picked this up but I hate touching jewelry in any way, when I was younger this extended to coins aswell although I've had to get over this to a degree. I don't like dirty coins and try my best not to touch them and I hate holding coins for too long. They leave a really horrible smell on my hands. I don't understand how people can put such dirty metal into their mouths, it freaks me out and if I ever try to touch jewelry it makes me gag. I've never met anyone with anything similar but there must be someone like me out there!

    I don’t have a problem with touching coins other than the smell on my hands I don’t like. I do have this disgust for touching jewelry though. I hate it. I have had it every since I can remember. It extremely bugs me when I touch it. It’s close to the same reaction that I would get if I touched something disgusting. It’s definitely not a phobia because I’m not afraid of it and I can pick it up if I have something covering it like a glove, paper towel, etc. So a disgust is the best way I can describe it. I can touch or wear watches with no issue though.

    OMG i have exactly the same problem and i couldn't have described it better. It was worse when i was younger but still is reasonably strong today. My 'problem' extends to not wanting to use eating unentils that did have a wooden or plastic handle on them when i was younger, although i have gotten over that now. I also dont like keys and can't stand people key rings that have hundreds of keys and other key rings on them. My key set is very simple - 1 key for my front door, one for my car, one for my office and that is it. Good to hear from someone who shares the same 'issues'!

    I agree about the money, I will handle it but I have to wash my hands after. It's weird to think about all the places that could have been. I love jewelry though I think it's a completely different situation! It's yours!

    THAT JUST MEANS YOUR A LITTLE MORE BALLER THAN MOST PEOPLE CUZ THESE BROKE PPL THESE DAYS NEED THEIR CHANGE BUT IM THE SAME WAY I JUST HOLD PAPER NOT COINS COINS ARE FOR THE POOR
