I miss him very much. He was a wonderful friend to many people, and caused them to become wonderful friends with each other. He loved community and that trickled down to a great many of us. He is both special in ways some could not see and normal in ways many will not know.
I wish there was a way for those of us who knew him well to stay in contact with him. Fate has denied us.
I agree with you. I miss him a lot too- I've never met anyone who has as much in common with me as he did, it was nice. He did leave his email address in his profile, I suppose, if he's still around.:)
That email doesn't work anymore. He used it to keep in regular contact with a couple of people who took the initiative to email him after he left IIN, until he suddenly stopped in the summer with no goodbye or any explanation.
His account sent a bit of spam to his contacts list over the holidays, so I guess he got some sort of virus which stopped him responding. But even then he could have chosen to make a new email so the people who cared about him could have kept in contact, or removed the email from his IIN profile. The whole thing is a mystery I don't really know how to find an answer to.
Spam? What, like trying to sell crap or send you viruses or something? Hmm, how odd. I'm equally confused now. I hope he's alright. Genuinely quite worried now. Um. Hmm.
Trying to sell everyone "all kinds of electronic products that you may be in need" from a "very good company". I was tempted but politely declined.
It worries me too. It's not like him to disappear without letting anyone know or picking up the pieces. Hopefully he's okay and decided to break contact this way as a way to wrench himself away without feeling tempted to come back. I hope someday he'll let us know.
Don't worry, it only spammed people who were on his contacts list.
It was bizarre. I have not heard from him since the week before my trip. I hope Dom's theory's correct; I am truly worried something terrible happened to him. D:
Has IIN gone stale?
