  • Ironically, I see a post similar to this every other week.

    • After reading this comment, I proved I have no life by searching back over the past year.

All I've found were individual users considering quitting, some belligerent (non-specific, profanity laced) gripes, a few complaints about features (thumbs seem to be a big one) and people being mean.

None of those that some may consider similar offered any ideas to improve the system by proposing a solution as I did. However fallible my proposal may be, I thought some might offer to expand on it, but as of now, no one has even addressed it.

I think mods should be a little more exclusive in the approval process, but apparently a majority of users disagree. It's just my opinion.

      • I posted recently about people complaining less as a solution. Be the change you want to see and ladadadada.

You want awesome posts? Make some. That will increase the competition because others will want to be cool and make cool posts when they see a cool post.

I think what had happened is the older, cooler users don't make stories as they used to and comment more. I feel like I should make more stories myself. I'd make one now but my computer crashed and I have to do some research.

        • I make plenty.

The problem is that the mods don't discriminate. The volume of input never affects the quality. They just go through the lot and approve almost everything.

They need to be more particular.

If nobody criticized establishment, we'd live in a world of rubber stamps and Honey Boo-Boo reruns.

Oh wait. We do. Because people don't offer solutions.

          I tried.

          Thanks for your input.

          • If you saw the unmod section, you'd be disappointed to see how many quality podts are rejected in favour of the shite.

          • Most estabishments are criticized often enough. Everyone has individual preferences that can't always be tended to. Some say the mods let too much through, others feel their stories are rejected too often. I just ignore the stories i don't find worthy rather than pining over them. Who are any of us, including the mods, to say that someone's question is not valid just because we don't like it? Someone else might still relate to the question and want to add input even if you don't.

Btw, I don't live in honey boo boo world. If you are watching reruns of it you are supporting and enabling it.

            • You live on the same planet I do. I don't watch it, but commercial breaks are riddled with adds for it and newsstands are plastered with her picture. The show would disappear if there wasn't a following. Reality shows like that exemplify the degeneration of sociological integrity. Our collective I.Q. is dropping. You're a part of the human race...so you're living in a Honey Boo Boo world.

Establishments aren't criticized enough. It's one thing to look down on me if I just sat here and bitched about how it sucks, but I didn't. I offered constructive alternatives.

If you proposed that quality is subjective, I'd give you that. You touched on that a little, but most of your attack was directed at my criticism...which I won't apologize for.
