My roommate is a baker and he use to work at a fancy dessert restaurant. He use to bring home leftovers. But yeah, both friends and coworkers haved baked me birthday cakes.
I love knowing professional bakers it makes life so much sweeter. My aunt owns an award winning cakery in California and she baked everyone's cakes when possible and even made most of the families wedding cakes.
