Well, you just got a big dose of self-righteous reprimand from the conservative crowd. Ha, ha, ha. They never change.
Anyway, you didn't state how long you were "sober" for, just how long you were chronic. Maybe you aren't as "sober" as you thought. If you puff daily, then you might feel a bit sleepy (it's not a drugged feeling, just a slight fatigue) until the evening of the day after you have your last puff. And that's about it! You might feel the pangs of boredom a little more than normal for a few more days, but that goes away too. If you experience more than that, you might have something else wrong with you.
I puff daily (have for a few years), but I stop for about a week a few times a year (for vacations) and I've never had a problem going cold turkey for a bit.
