r/the_Donald was a subreddit for supporters of American President Donald Trump. It had a history of bridgegating (misspelled), trolling, racism, etc. A lot of users complained about it but it didn't get banned until very recently. I don't know why it was banned/quarantined, but all that stuff can be found on reddit in general so it had to be for something else.
By users complaining about it it was really other subreddits seiging the forum. So someone from the communist subreddit can complain about the Donald subreddit. The mods did do their jobs, they usually purged 1 or 3 posts a day.
Yeah, I know it was users from other subs complaining. I don't know if the mods did their jobs or not as I've never actually been to the subreddit, but I'll take your word for it. I saw enough assholery, trolling, bigotry, etc on other subs so if that's worth banning the Donald for then the whole website should shutdown.
The Donald subreddit was quarantined because they "broke the rules" problem with a lot of these internet companies is that the rules are really vague. Thus currently the Donald subreddit is somewhat restricted to the public and all the mods got fired. Reddit wants it to follow the rules even though it has gore, communism, actuall neo nazis, and much worst shit on there without much as a peep from reddit.
Has anyone else deleted their reddit account?
