For those of you who have never done psychedellics... it's nothing like what you imagine.
I've done acid maybe 6, 7 times total. Shrooms maybe 4 times. Robotripped a few times. Smoked DMT for the first time last time I did acid. (THAT was an insightful journey)
The nice thing about psychedellics is they allow you to explore your own consciousness in a different way, help you to think differently and in general feel more connected. Then again it's difficult to describe what they really do for you because it's all very individualized, I know many people who are affected differently than I am.
As for bad trips and the like? Either caused by a bad set or setting, inexperience with psychedellics, or psychological issues, trauma or repression brought out by the psychedellic.
It was pretty intense. I sort of waved in and out of totally gone and kind of aware, most of us were on acid at the time so people were being really chatty.
When I was out, there were these intense fractals, turning into shapes folding into passageways turning into human figures within the larger fractal, too complicated to really even describe and constantly changing.
The body high was intense, wavery and thrummy and... the best way I can describe it is I didn't feel the space between me and anything else anymore. Yeah there was air there, but it wasn't just air, it was something else and it connected all of us.
Eyes open, everything was outlined in rainbows, peoples faces looked different. Couldn't stop laughing and I was probably gone for 15 minutes, still feeling the trippy aftereffects for 15 after that.. I was shocked how long it lasted

How was the DMT experience? I've heard that the experiences people have really do resonate with different cords of being. Really controversial...
