A puppy is cute.
A duckling waddling along behind its mother is cute.
To me, cute is adorable, child-like, dependent, vulnerable.
So if a girl called me cute, I'd think they were seeing me as this cherubic, sexless duckling more akin to a kid brother than a grown man.
BUT I know some girls use cute as a synonym for attractive, so it'd probably depend on the girl saying it, and the context; I'd either find it patronising or flattering.
Guys: Would you feel offended/uncomfortable if a girl called you cute?
