  • It does because it involves the way each sex is socialized.

Traditional roles are unnecessary and over-simplify gender. They should be a base at most. I'm not saying everyone has to be transgender, but there's no need for it to be so polarized and I doubt that's as "natural" as we claim it to be

Anyways I know that's obviously not the only component to this question, and I'm not sitting here thinking that any guy who doesn't like it is butthurt about their man-pride. But you'd have to have stuck your head in the ground to think that gender has nothing to do with it

    • Ok. Let's look at it this way. If we look back at how humans were before society, what were men and women like? Different, right? It's time to stop blaming society for how genders are and accept that those ways the genders differentiate existed far before we became a civilized species.

I also don't like how you have not taken in to consideration as to why it doesn't have anything to do with gender in a lot of cases and that people simply do not like being called things they do not like to consider themselves as and merely repeated what you stated.

I would say you have to have your heads in the clouds reaching if you think that gender roles in the leading reason for it.

      • Yeah they were different from the start, but that doesn't mean they were always the way they are now. It's not something that stays stagnant, clearly, or I would be married rn cooking dinner for some idiot who just got ownership of my house and person because my father wanted a few bucks.

id like to think its 1/3 gender construct, 1/3 testosterone and 1/3 personal preference lol but im no expert

apparently you don't know how to read because i acknowledged that gender wasnt the only reason and that i know there is personal image and preference

        • Yes and no. Ofcourse we're not going to have the same differences as we did back when we were still primitive, we've adapted those ways to fit the advancements we've made as a species so we're still going to have those original behaviors as we used to but now it's in a different way due to being in a different life style.

It isn't until recently that we've decided to break away from those ways that we used to have "by law" because the old way wasn't necessary, that doesn't mean the species is used to being that way just that it's how the world is now. Our species has always been living a certain way until recently and that passes down, so we're still going to have some of those old traditional ways about us until we have a longer time being the way we live now.

Or you'd be cooking dinner and cleaning for some caring guy who has his own house who takes care of you. This idea that men in the past were just romantic bosses is just too...Well, annoying.
