Guys: Would you feel offended/uncomfortable if a girl called you cute?

  • No. I'm a guy and "cute" is one of my favourite words to describe people and things I like a lot. The sort of masclulinity that distances itself from cuteness is really unattractive to me; it comes across as really aloof and prideful in exactly the wrong sort of way. In the same way, I think I'd find it tough to be attracted to a girl who was obsessed with projecting the image of conventional femininity.

It isn't so much the content of traditional gender roles that is unattractive, as it is the unambitiousness and conformity of people who refuse to explore beyond well-trodden paths and allow themselves to be constrained and restricted by traditional methods of expression.

      • I think you've got the wrong end of the stick.

Can I ask what the point of this comment was?

tradition = good when it's my personal tradition and if anyone says anything against this singular tradition of mine then I'll accuse them of suggesting tradition is bad

I am incapable of seeing the views of others

        thumbs up
