Guys, which compliment would you most like to receive from a girl?

Men, which of the following physical compliments would be most flattering to receive from someone who might be interested in you? Everyone likes to hear people think they're smart, or kind, or funny, or talented, but what about the physical side of things? Girls get complimented by guys on their appearance all the time, but I think guys get fewer compliments on their appearance, so I'm curious to know what kind of compliment a guy just loves to hear. What gives you the biggest boost in confidence (even if you receive the compliment from someone you're not interested in yourself)?

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

  • I'd like to hear all of these in quick succession, though I'm sure if I did I'd have a hard time getting my head to fit through a doorway.

  • I'm with the majority on this one. I once got told my butt looked so cute in a certain pair of trousers and not only did that infect me with an unsmilable face but I kept wearing those trousers until they were worn out

  • pretty much any of that, or even an insult, would sound great.

  • I don't get complimented on my physic because it's already perfect. I'd say except for my traps They know and I know by how they look at my body so they always compliment on my tallness @ 6'4

  • I'll go with the smell option since I probably smell like shit. Means she's desperate.

  • Anything to do with my face that's a compliment. Hair would be a second.

    • Would you rather be complimented on your smile or your eyes?

  • Personally, I like the 'cute butt' comment and I like the 'You're so ruggedly handsome' comment - although at my age of 42 and as a guy who is STILL single with no kids, I would be lucky just to even get a smile from a woman ...

    • I'm surprised. I find most men in their early forties to be attractive looking, especially if they stayed fit and retained their hair/hair colour. Men don't age nearly as aggressively as women do generally. I think hair loss/greying/beer gut prematurely age most men, as their skin is still pretty darned youthful looking compared to a woman under 50. That's why when you see a fit man in a baseball cap who might be 45 or 50, since you can't see his hair or lack thereof, you usually assume he's more like 30 or 35 until he takes his hat off. It happens with golfers a lot. I also think that if a balding man shaves his head, it can take decades of his perceived age as well. Maybe you should make a move on some of these smiling ladies? There are certain types of smiles that always mean something, but you have to be perceptive to decipher which are which.

  • People already tell me I smell nice \(._.)/

Anyway I'd like to be told I can be trusted, and then treated like so.

  • in order for me to become a citizen of Duztopia, I had to sing all those compliments in that exact order. It's the national anthem over there.
Sadly, I couldn't join because it is illegal for mere citizens to own a mirror. It is also prohibited to have a reflection if you stand near a body of water.

  • your so tall, but that is from almost everyone, even thou im not that tall only like 6'3

  • I went for sexy voice. The only other ones I gravitated towards were ones that could possibly be genuine. Like, if a girl asked where I inherited that chiseled bone structure, she'd clearly be mocking me...lol
So I wouldn't really want to hear that..

    • What if a girl twirled her hair and whispered in your ear, "even without a chin, your face is WIN"? ;)

  • Every one of those is so superficial and lacking in integrity, they sound like lousy pick up lines. Thanks, but no thanks. I can do just fine without insincere compliments.
