So, statistically speaking men tend to prefer someone with a recessive gene, like blue eyes...and this is even more true if that man carries the same recessive gene themselves. That's why a lot of men are drawn to "bright" colored eyes.
As far as the big googly Emma stone eyes go. Those are an estrogen feature (when paired with a smaller brow ridge). Basically, something that occurs when a female gets a dose of estrogen in the womb...and estrogen features are all of the things that make females look, well female.
Luckily, I'm a female, so I have no problem being totally attracted to people with brown eyes.
