Why would anyone do that? Being single is a great state to develop new skills, learn things or just make more money. I find any type of relationship a massive compromise in my lifestyle. So if I'm already willing to sacrifice something for this, my partner better be worth it.

We do because we have to; women make the rules, most of them tell us no, so what is left is generally way not our first or even third choice.
