its not what you say its how you say it most of the time, maybe correct him in an inquisitive way? "isnt it .....?" rather than "no its ...", let him ponder the fact that he might be wrong and then correct himself rather than attacking his intelligence?

I agree its all about the girl's tone, not the fact that she is correcting you. If she corrects you in a sarcastic way - not attractive!
