USA is a young country and needs to know that. People assume they are correct but don't even take the time to get close with those who don't agree. Sometimes they even agree and don't know because they don't become friends.
If you are pro gun control go live in Missouri a while and then you won't be so confused why there are people who don't want gun control.
But I also understand it is for all intents and purposes a rhetorical question
