Statistically speaking, the happiness of women has been decreasing since the 70s (<a href="http://www.nber.org/papers/w14969" rel="nofollow">http://www.nber.org/papers/w14969</a>). I'm not sure what you're talking about here, though, because I wasn't talking about men or women specifically, but people in general.
More to the point, I was referring to the fact that strong family structure is being eroded not only by the distance from parent to child, but the lack of siblings that said child has.
