Well I've actually been around bigoted people, They are shameless about their contempt for other races/religions/nationalities. This guy does not seem like a bigot.
Yes, you can argue that he is ignorant and possibly a little racist, but don't you see that he's actually concerned that he has this phobia? He doesn't sound very pleased to be nervous around black people. He can recognize how irrational his own fears are. A bigoted person wouldn't be on here asking wither or not it's normal, because to them; it is.
Groups of them make me uneasy.
