And then there are those sites where you pay to get information about someone (including their legal records).
Those paid information sites are mostly scams as far as I can tell.
They incorrectly list what my income is. They list that I am a member of major political party (I have never joined any political party and vote for candidates from all parties based on individual assessment of each candidate)
Up until last year I had 2 State Issues licenses... neither site listed those (Professional Engineer, and Blaster's license - which I still have).
The so called legal record is missing most of it (nothing worse than a speeding ticket - but I have been the plaintiff in one case, was one of several people sued - unsuccessfully, and a key witness in several cases.
The list of identified family and relatives is both way incomplete and has names of people I am not related to (but they do have the same last name... and there were multiple unrelated Germans with that last name in Germany/Prussia as it relates to an occupation).
I offered to clear that up with one company - but in order for that to occur I would have to join and pay them a monthly fee... No thank you.
I hope someday someone sues them for their inaccuracies.
