Gloomy sunday is stuck in my head

So I think I'm talentless but I know I'm actually not. (I'll save my melodram patheticism for the shrink) So I'm alone with GarageBand and I'm singing a pretty choral version of Gloomy Sunday. I actually wanted to make one so heartbreaking that it could break hearts, but this one puts me in some sort of trance. It's not at all perfect nor is it finished, but I looped it and now I can't get it out of my head. It's like the best thing I've ever sung, but I still cringe at the little things that can't be helped. I need to stop listening to it every day, but it's even weirder because I'm listening to me constantly.

Is It Normal?

  • The thing is, Gloomy Sunday is known as the Suicide Song. So when I was typing out this post I got a "Feeling Suicidal?" link on the bottom of the page XD.

  • Songs get stuck in my mind all the time. Sometimes I embellish the harmony in my head until it sounds like the London Philharmonic Orchestra is performing it. Perhaps you could do the same. Imagine how the song would sound as a duet with another singer. .
