Giving foreign money to homeless people

There is a homeless guy that sits in the town centre right near where I work and he is always pestering me to give him money. He does it everyday and he always asks multiple times even when I say I don’t have any.

So at the start of the week I have started getting £5 changed into euros and cents (I’m in England so it’s not accepted currency here) and I will give some of it to him everyday to keep him happy.

He never notices, he just sees a coin going into his drug fund and is happy with that. The lazy, jobless fucker can work out the exchange rates with his dealer if he wants. Other people have to earn their money so he’s not getting mine for free.

Chances are he's probably faking being homeless.

    • A lot of people who are homeless realize they can make money in the right area just by asking for change

I don't feel bad about not giving money or food anymore because the beggars refuse genuine help, like going to the local government facilities for work opportunities. They're essentially professional beggars by choice and so I choose to not aid their lifestyle choice.

I was standing outside work recently with my Burger King bag in one hand and this guy walking past just stopped in front of me and expected me to hand my food to him. I was working the whole goddamn day and didn't eat anything, and then this clown stands there like I owe him something.
