It's a matter of preference. Some men love it, some men don't care one way or the other, some men really dislike it. I don't care for tattoos or body piercings.
Back when my ex-wife and I were still together, I became very upset when she pierced her own belly button. For one, I didn't think she was being a good role model for our children, and second, who was she trying to impress? Yes, I know it is her body, but maybe discovering it during intimacy (even though she was trying to hide it from me.. don't ask) I would have gelt different.
Then there was the tattoo on her lower back when she came back from Australia. She said it was aboriginal art. I said she looked like she had problems wiping her... self.
All of this occurred after two years of marriage. Then I found out she was also a smoker. She hid it from me for over three years! Again... Don't ask.
My point... I, personally, associate tattoos with a certain type of woman, and they are sought by women for the purpose of impressing men.
