I can only speak for myself...Up to a certain point in my life I had never and would never cheat. I had opportunities aplenty and there was a few I really wanted to take but I didn't. The only reason I didn't was because I was brainwashed into the whole 'monogamy is right' deal.
There came a moment when I realized that I had never thought FOR MYSELF how I wanted to run my love life. I personally think the whole monogamy thing is a scam. It's against our nature (obviously). Why are most of us taught that a relationship should always be one man and one woman? Movies, tv, religion and your government all drill this into you but is it what's really right for YOU? How many people take the time to think it over for themselves?
Once I figured it out I was able to be open and happy. I think we as a society need to change our attitude towards polyamory.
