I didn't know there was a DDD either. I thought it went into E. But anyway, I think this is something to ask your doctor. It's so peculiar that I can't even begin to think what would cause it.
Having said that, some people grow three sets of teeth in their lifetimes. Sometimes our bodies do odd things.
