I shave my legs if I have to wear a dress to a formal family event. Meaning, in the past year I only shaved them once to wear a bridesmaid dress to my sister's wedding. Leg hair means absolutely nothing to me. As for armpits, I shaved them once a week, because that was all I needed, during the warm months of being in school because having those people see my armpit hair would cause a whole conversation I didn't want to have. Now that I'm not in school, I don't care. I have no issue with random people seeing my armpit hair, because I'm never going to see them again and I don't care. It's different when you sit with a group of people on a daily basis. As for pubic hair, I don't shave, but I use trimmers regularly out of respect for my fiance and I just prefer it better because it lessens scent. The ONLY thing I shave, is my "side burns", as I call them. My hair line is really weird and comes down in front of my ears a bit, and I feel it's just strange. Like, it's totally natural for women to have leg/armpit/pubic hair, but I've never seen a woman with these "sideburns". I'm very self-conscious about it in the warmer months when I want to put my hair in a ponytail. In the winter I don't mind so much because my hair is down and you never really see that portion anyway. Anyway, no one is under any obligation to shave anything. Period. If someone doesn't like it... then that sounds like a whole lot of their problem. My fiance has no issue with this whatsoever.
