Girls: do you make the first move

Let's say that there's this guy that a girl has a crush on.I've noticed that a lot of women choose to wait until the guy asks them out. They act like they can't ask them out, as if there's some rule that bounds them not to. I would understand a normal 20th century girl, but this is the 21st century. Why can't girls ask out men?

    As a guy, this has always confused me. Both guys and girls are petrified of rejection, but only guys are expected to risk it, and some girls even have the cheek to complain if a guy won't make the first move. Damn you, double standards!

    I'm a guy and EVERYONE SHUT UP!!! If you like them you should tell them! I've gotten rejected a few times and it's not that bad. But you won't be able to move on with your life until you ask, so do it!
