It could be spirits. I don't think it's shadow people be they are usually black like a shadow. They also give off a evil feeling. They most commonly appear during sleep paralysis and I think after disasters. To make sure; you should hire a medium and ask him/her if they can tell what these "spirits" are, what they want from you and whether or not they intend to harm you.
