Yeah most girls don't want to compliment the looks of a man because it will make them seem like they are being flirtatious even when they aren't trying to be. And even if a girl DOES want to be flirtatious, it's rare that any girl will just walk up to you and be all "DAAMN BOY, YOU SO FINE". Such straight-forwardness is more of a guy thing, generally XD
Also a lot of guys who look good have big heads, so girls just don't like feeding into their already-huge egos so bluntly all the time.
Generally speaking, girls may not SAY that you look attractive outright, but they might drop subtle hints or just give you certain looks that you may or may not pick up on, to let you know.
