I don't know if mine counts, cos I feel like I can treat it with Quick-eze, Tums and diet. It's self diagnosed, to a degree, too. A doctor has agreed with my assumption, but it wasn't a formal consultation.

I get the burning in throat like I'm gonna puke thing. It's really strong and gross. It started probably three or four years ago, and was related to gallbladder issues. It didn't improve once I had that removed, though. I feel like it's mainly related to what I eat? Like, if I have chocolate I know I'll get it, so I've stopped eating chocolate (not hard, luckily) but if I eat something particularly greasy or sugary or processed starch, it seems worse?

I took Somac for a couple weeks because my doctor told me to (for something else). But I don't think I need to keep taking it. I feel like it's not a daily thing, so preventive measures aren't important and treatment after the fact is the better option.

Over-the-counter Omeprazole. Ask your doc if you need a double dosage. Jack the head of your bed up so it slopes down.
