Geeks make me feel stupid iin?
They don't mean to brag, I know, but why do they have to be SO brainy? I am feeling tongue tied and stupid around them. Are their brains different or is it just they learn more?

There's little variance in most normal human brains. I don't believe some people are good at something because their brain is good at it. I believe people are good at what interests them.
I would love to know how economics works. I buy books on world economics and I try to force myself to read them, but it's so painful to me. After ten minutes my brain says "bored now". If I push on through, it turns into a scream. It's not physically possible for me to understand economics without extreme mental pain.
But if were all interested in the same thing, society couldn't function. It's a very good thing that we're good at different things.
Itduz: geek directly refers to computers and electronics. Maybe you mean nerd or smartass, which would be more generic.
Geeks are just interested in electronics more than you are. There surely are subjects that you know more of than most geeks
Yeah maybe like alcohol types or how to get pregnant at 16 but nothing actualy intellegent. Geeks arent just "people interested in electronics" it seems you have been watching too much television.
Man, you are so self-righteous. You didn't even spell "basically" right....you're no geek.
I do have some common spelling mistakes and when did I ever say I was a geek? I know im not a geek that doesnt mean what im saying isnt true and self righteous? no its called telling someone a fact. So well done all you have done here is told me I made a spelling mistake which I dont really care much for.
I agree, even though I'm one. Just remember theres always a person who's smarter than you, and the same goes for any geek.
Your ignorance regarding the linguistic and sociological patterns of geeks is downright brobdingnagian.

Actually being a geek is really about the obsession of the subject. You could be a geek about beans. Yes beans. The obsession about them is what drives you to know more about the subject simply because you like it that much. A few geeks can be condescending tho. Mainly they were just criticized about it and began disliking people. Eventually they won't care about what people say and won't be mean.
Nerds are mostly about knowing information. And some have a tendency to be arrogant about it. Mainly because like geeks they were persecuted for it at an earlier time. But they get over eventually.
I've been on both sides and experienced each. I became a nerd simply because I loved learning. It made my brain tingle. But life got a little hard early so I started becoming obsessed with finding a way use all my knowledge to help my self.
They make me feel motivated to learn more about a variety of things. I love when people know a lot about things that I know very little about...it's inspirational
I think I'm a geek. And when I interested something,I cannot stop thinking and reserch. This is my tendancy, and as a result,I know many things in a field I'm interested.I think Geek's knowlidge is deep but narrow.Geeks thinking in a way which is very natural for them,It's just a difference.(You might think I'm stupid from my English:) from home country of Geek..)
Geeks have a different communication style, as well as artists, doctors, salesmen, etc. Sometimes people can be condescending or patronizing. This is likely why you feel stupid, it has little to do with how smart they are but how they present their knowledge to others.
Well intelligence is genetic. That or they try harder to get a good education so they can go somewhere in life. Then again your most likely a moron.
.....Basicly while your interested in partying sex and drugs these "brainy" people are thinking about their future. You could of been one of them if you had chosen to be one.
