I won't speak for bi sexualism because i am certain of my "mono-sexuality". But i think Men who love each other, isn;t just natural but nearly pre determined. Women who love each other however, I've always been weird about, so attribute abuse and distrust leading to that Life decision of being with women only.
Im not trying to put lesbians down, I'm just saying that yes, abuse and trust is a huge factor. Abuse in life; in general. If i would suggest anything, just follow what your heart says and stop putting a label on whether you are gay straight and or bi.
If your local government won't hear you, who needs a piece of paper anyway? Legitimate marriages end in divorce, and only make the pockets of lawyers fatter. Otherwise, you make your own decisions no matter what gender you are.
