Gay people annoy me

Especially gay men. It is really annoying how they speak with that weird lisp and they virtue signal alot. I dont get why being gay has to be your whole identity

I think you are fixated on a stereotype that is not necessarily true. Let people be and if someone is annoying you, simply walk away.

    • It is true though. 90% of gay dudes ive met that admit to being gay act like this.

The precision of that 90% figure is interesting. Do you keep a scorecard listing all the gay guys you've met? Don't you think that's a little... well, gayish, bro?

In any case, even if you can be that precise, the operative phrase in your comment is: "that admit to being gay". For all you know, you've met lots of guys who are gay and you just don't know it. But I suppose you could be one of those guys who meets someone new and immediately starts talking about who he's recently banged and pushing the new guy to tell him who he's recently screwed.

        • Of course I keep scorecard? I am VERY politically correct. And before I say anything I like to make sure no one can go for the low hanging fruit and get me with a gotcha. So yes I run surveys on everything always. And I do tell everyone who I bang as soon as I meet them. When I met my girlfriends dad when I shook his hand I said "Hi, I'm the man screwing your daughter"

Yeah homophobia is funny because I don't think most homophobic people actually care much about whether a guy sleeps with men or not, they care more that they're feminine. They'd probably be more bothered by a flamboyant sensitive straight guy who wears make-up and dislikes the whole 'getting drunk at sports games' scene, than they would with someone who's a total macho bro in every way but who bangs dudes instead of pussy. So it probably shouldn't really be called homophobia for those guys, it should be called femophobia or something.

I get why you'd be annoyed at someone for being overly dramatic and flamboyant. I don't think it's necessarily homophobic (or femphobic), as long as you'd feel the same way if a woman was like that.

Yeah I wouldn't say it's homophobia then, just try not to hold it against him too much though. He could be a really nice guy, it's just that he's very expressive.

  • Gay people don't annoy you. Only the stereotypical gay people annoy you.

I get what you mean about those who make being gay their personality, it's just obnoxious and an excuse for not actually having a personality. Not all gay people are like that though and i'd say most of them aren't aside from a few gay jokes here and there.

I think you could rephrase your label as 'people who identify as gay and shove it in people's faces ostentatiously, hoping to gain kudos for it'. Yeah, it irritates me too when people try to use their statements of self-identity to try and curry favour with people.

Stereotypes are stereotypes for a reason. Not all gay people act stereotypical. I have found that the “gay” stereotype seems to be more prominent in US/UK culture. Europe and elsewhere, not so much

If these people get on your nerves then don’t interact with them or seek them out online. The world is full of annoying people who you should learn to ignore, also there is no need to stereotype all gay people as irritating attention seekers.
