      I am a gay guy and I actually hated when partners call me honey or babe (shudder) but I generally just accept it because I understand what they are trying to express. Even so I probably object these days but I haven't had a boyfriend in a while.

        Oh, ok.. Sorry, I'm not much into music, didn't recognise the song.
        It's the same with me, mate. Guys gotta treat their boyfriends as guys, and babe or honey is just not masculine!
