Sure. Nothing wrong with learning philosophy. Just know that it will often just be a self serving pursuit. Philosophy is more of an individualistic way to perceive and understand life.
Yeah, my study has the purpose of eloquence and persuasion, which I use on my housemate and still I managed to persuade him with great difficulty since he doesn't believe philosophy.
On the other hand I was trying to persuade virtuous and prudent actions, I suppose he thinks he's already virtuous and prudent and he persuades religious morality on me, I think it's bullshit as much as he thinks philosophy is bullshit.
From now on I'm forever studying the humanities
