Friends shouldn't destroy relationships of friends.

It seems like every time you get more than a few people hanging out together, somebody starts complaining about somebody they know and gossiping.

Is It Normal?

    • it's impossible to know for sure, so you have to hurt everyone equally as bad as you would the person responsible.

  • Yeah, all my girlfriend's friends blame me for everything bad in the world. Another girl I know was famous throughout high school for being a goth and worshipping satan, but she stopped completely when i started calling myself satan on here. She'll worship a goat head evil bald monster but not me? fuck her dude that's bullshit right?

    • there's an evolutionary advantage of telling lies and complaining about people you feel would be desirable to a potential boyfriend in the future: it "thins the herd" so to speak, increases the odds of a woman being the most attractive female in her social circle. I doubt most people are aware how much their instincts control their lives subconsciously. In conclusion, it's very normal and will always be normal. :)

      • Well personally I wouldn't hang around in circles where this sort of behaviour was normal: who needs it?

  • This reminds me of the last time was part of a clique. It's been almost four years and I'm still not comfortable being friends with groups of other women. I now have a male best friend as I basically consider my boyfriend my best friend. I guess I'm not a girl's girl... meh.

  • Eh it depends sometimes your friends see things you don't. They're usually the people who've known you the longest and if they don't like the person you're dating then there's probably a reason.
