I'm a straight female and I have a female friend who's also one of my best friends who after like 2 months of friendship tells me that she loves me. She has said this twice. I asked her in which way in which she replied that she doesn't know. I just ignored it because I feel awkward, I don't know what to think. She sometimes comments that I'm pretty/hot, etc. but she insists that she likes guys. My other friend said that she gets the feeling that this friend wants her out of the picture and that this friend wants me for herself.

I know that some female friends are also very catty toward each other so they never comment on each others attractiveness. I am very confused about the whole situation, because I like her and I really don't know what she wants from me.

What would you think/do? (No rude comments please)

    Well in my honest opinion, you need to get this chick alone, sit her down and talk about this. What she's feeling, what she wants but most importantly what you want. But also think, maybe she just has a girl crush on you and it'll turn out to be harmless, but until you ask her and talk about how you feel, you'll never know.

    Some people (girls more frequently) use the word 'love' to express platonic friendship type love. It's normal, and if she is is saying she likes guys, she probably is using the word in this sense.

    I think it's totally normal for a girl to have a crush on a girl. It's harmless. From what I read, you must be attractive!

    I don't see any thing wrong my best friend and i we say we love each other and call each other cute and hot all the time she has a boyfriend I don't, but their has been times when she or her boyfriend well ask me if I like girls because I don't have a boy friend but I just say theses things to her out of being playful. I Love boys and yes I wish I did have a bf but I don't and that's okay but I think if your friend says she likes boys and not girls just accept that because you can really hurt a person feeling by asking them if they are gay when their not.
