Friend did tiktok live

What do you think of a friend who does this TikTok live thingy while you're travelling on a trip together in his car? This friend basically did a casual live chat with his other Tiktok friends while he's driving. I didn't join in because I never played TikTok and uncomfortable doing this live thingy where people love to do nowadays.

I, as a friend who actually sat next to him in the car was 80% ignored because he's busy chatting with his TikTok friends.

Sometimes, I even got cut off mid-way by his TikTok friends when I tried to say something to him. He's a very kind, a supportive and a generous guy but I can't believe he's into this TikTok live thingy.

I feel pretty upset when I knew he's into this sort of thing where social media live is more crucial to him than having a nice casual chat with me who actually sat next to him in real life. I missed the day I was having fun chatting with him in his car uninterrupted.

However, I didn't say anything about my dismay because I think I don't have a right to say about his behaviour as I was in his car and it's his choice. However, I do feel secretly upset that this stupid TikTok trending thing is everywhere, affecting and changing people where they get so fixated over it. Maybe it's also my fault for not keeping up with this TikTok live trend thingy.

You have just as much right to expect him to show interest in your company when you're hanging out as he does to completely ignore you. It seems like a reasonable reaction to tell him that if he's just going to ignore you the whole time in favor of his online friends then you'd rather not hang out

Seems pretty rude to me for him to ignore you the majority of the ride for people on the Internet. I had a boyfriend years ago who would either play a YouTube video out loud or put headphones on and listen to music right in the middle of me talking to him on our car rides in which I was driving. Looking back, I'm so pissed that I drove over one hundred miles to pick his cheap, lazy ass up and drive back to my place, only to be treated as if I was his personal chauffeur and he couldn't even be bothered to acknowledge my presence on the ride back. I should've definitely nipped that in the bud way sooner, but I was young and dumb. You live and you learn!

I personally don't get the hype around the TikTok thing, either, but to each their own. I don't understand how people let social media and people they've never met online interfere with their IRL relationships with family and friends, though.

Back when facebook live first came out I use to annoy people by sticking a phone in their face and yelling "FACEBOOK LIVE!" and they get all shy knowing abunch of people are watching them they didnt know what to do. Black ppl always loved it tho.
