I hate how every parent is compelled to have photos of their kids at work... I found a stock photo of a clean cut, well dressed black boy, I want to print multiple sizes of the same exact picture and frame them, I was gonna put them all over my desk to freak out my dumb co-workers
I think you're overreacting to people being proud of their children... But your way of handling it is hilarious!
If you tell them how much you love looking at their cute little children while you move your hand around in your pocket they will take them down. They may also punch you in the face, but that will get them fired and maybe even arrested because they can't show you did anything wrong and that solves the problem too.
You should take pictures of the pictures of their kids and place them on your desk. That would really fuck with their heads.
If you don't have pics to put up don't sweat it. There is no rule on it.
Not normal, but funny as Hell! I would put pictures of my cat everywhere.
Your co-workers aren't stupid for having pictures of their kids at work. If it bothers you so much then leave.
